About the Artists
Antonio Meneses, cello
Paul Galbraith, guitar
A unique and powerful collaboration between two acclaimed, GRAMMY-nominated soloists. Antonio Meneses was the last cellist of the legendary Beaux Arts Trio, and Paul Galbraith is one of the most innovative and sought-after guitarists of the past half-century.
Celebrating the 200th Anniversary of Brazil, the duo’s stunning program includes a new arrangement of Schubert’s “Arpeggione” Sonata and Brazilian composer Radamés Gnattali (1906-1988) Sonata for Guitar and Cello, “Five Places from an Imaginary Brazil,” written for the duo by the celebrated young Brazilian composer André Mehmari, and solo works by each artist.
