Atlanta Celli is a group of classically trained cellists that push the boundaries of traditional cello music. They enjoy performing the intricacies of the classics but are just as likely to be found playing rock and pop songs as well as their own original works. Celli has performed in venues ranging from Spivey Hall to the TEDx stage, from churches to outdoor festivals. They enjoy entertaining audiences young and old with their fresh and surprising combinations of musical ideas. Whether collaborating with a beat-boxer or teaming up with opera singers, Celli’s aim is to bring genres and audiences together.

Program Description: The cello is one of the coolest instruments ever, and we’re going to show you why. Its human-sounding range, soulful tone, and the fact that you have to be seated to play it properly are only a few of the reasons people love the cello. The instrument’s versatility allows players to combine into groups, like our quartet, that can cover low, middle, and high ranges easily. And we don’t have to stick to classical repertoire, either. The entire world of music is our genre!
