ABI FAYETTE, violin

In its Carnegie Hall debut, the Catalyst Quartet earned praise for its “invariably energetic and finely burnished” playing and “earthy vigor” (The New York Times).
The Quartet’s latest concert/recording series, UNCOVERED, showcases beautifully crafted works by composers historically overlooked due to their race or gender. “Most crucially, the Catalyst Quartet creates a palpable sense of fresh discovery, of musical joy in the process of bringing these neglected scores to life” (The Strad).
Due to illness, clarinetist Anthony McGill has had to withdraw from his February 26th performance with the Catalyst Quartet at Clayton State’s Spivey Hall.
