The Elias String Quartet is lauded for its Beethoven quartet cycle recorded live-inconcert at London’s Wigmore Hall. “This immensely talented string quartet has the rare quality of unforced spontaneity” (The Sunday Telegraph). “In the opening movement of the first ‘Razumovsky’ Quartet Op. 59 No. 1 the players sound both joyfully confident and seeming to encounter the music for the first time – and be constantly delighted at what they find” (The Strad).
With “imaginative, full-blooded playing and impeccable ensemble” (Classic FM), “they live and breathe each phrase with an enraptured sensitivity” (The Strad). “The players are individually brilliant, but their interplay is profound” (The Sunday Times)
