World-renowned pianist Jonathan Biss channels his deep musical curiosity into performances and projects in the concert hall and beyond. He comes to Spivey Hall with a program of works by Schubert paired with a work by Atlanta-based composer Alvin Singleton, entitled Bed-Stuy Sonata for Solo Piano. The intention is not to suggest a particular connection between the old and new works; it is to show that one can immerse oneself in the greatest music of the past and work to ensure that the present and future are richer for it.
