Built around the theme of “Dreams and Desires,” the program features a tantalizing selection of the greatest moments of nineteenth- and twentieth-century opera and musical theatre, sung by a cast of professional singers who have starred in the company’s recent productions and conducted by Peach State Opera’s artistic director, Evelyn Hughes, with Clayton State University Staff Accompanist Grant Jones at the piano.  Clayton State University’s Music Drama Workshop class will make a special appearance in the important role of the chorus in many of the selections, and its director, Dr. Kurt-Alexander Zeller, will provide visual direction for this semi-staged concert presentation, as well as additional insights between scenes.
