Description

Southern Crescent Chorale’s 18th appearance at Spivey Hall will showcase beloved choral classics, highlighted by British composer John Rutter’s Magnificat. A cherished and frequently performed work, the Magnificat is celebrated for its radiant joy—making it the perfect centerpiece for this concert honoring Rutter’s 80th birthday this past September.

Accompanied by a professional chamber orchestra and Spivey Hall’s magnificent Albert Schweitzer Memorial Organ, the Chorale promises a powerful and uplifting performance that will both inspire and captivate. They will be joined by soprano Tiffany Uzoije, praised for her “authentic and rich tone” and “engaging stage presence.” Ms. Uzoije is a frequent performer with The Atlanta Opera.

In addition to Magnificat, the Chorale will perform pieces by Mendelssohn, Verdi, Gilbert and Sullivan, and Forrest as well as a sprinkling of hymns and spirituals.

Doors open at 2:30 p.m.

$30 Adult
