About the Artists
Okay, then. The coronavirus upended their plans (and ours) for March 2020, but they’re still at it. There is no end to the joy and wit of the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, whose all strumming, all-singing members take an imaginative, equal-opportunity approach to reinterpreting any tune that tickles their fancy – as long as it can be played on the ukulele.
With driving rhythms, a kaleidoscopic mix of styles, and infectious high spirits, the Ukes offer up their unique take on music spanning many centuries, very tongue-in-cheek. And a good time will be had by all, as legions of loyal fans around the world will readily attest.
And yes, even for their third Spivey Hall appearance that didn’t happen (blame the virus), they sold out. So don’t wait: there may be even greater pent-up demand for tickets this time around.
