Accessibility Information

Parking – Accessible parking is available. Drivers may also drop off patrons under the front portico.

Elevator Access – An elevator to the lobby is located in the hallway to the right as you enter the building.

Seating & Assistance – Wheelchair and accessible seating can be reserved by calling the Box Office. If you use a mobility device or require additional assistance, please let us know in advance and check in with the House Manager upon arrival. We are committed to making your visit comfortable and enjoyable.

The Concert Experience

Spivey Hall’s superb acoustics make listening to music here an exceptionally rewarding experience. These sensitive acoustics also mean that even small sounds can carry throughout the Hall. Because many Spivey Hall concerts are also recorded for delayed public radio broadcast, we appreciate your help in creating the best possible listening environment for our artists and audiences.

A few ways you can help:

Please silence all electronic devices before the performance begins.
Please refrain from talking during the performance.
If you need to cough or sneeze, please cover your mouth. Complimentary tissues and cough drops are available from our ushers. If a cough persists, we kindly ask that you step into the lobby until it subsides.
Please take care to minimize noise from cough drops and candy wrappers.
Traditionally, applause is held until the end of a complete work or group of shorter works, allowing the music to continue without interruption between movements. If you’re unsure, simply follow the lead of the performers or your fellow audience members.

Amenities at Spivey Hall

Information about amenities, services and policies while visiting Spivey Hall.

Elevators

Elevators serve both levels of Spivey Hall. One elevator is located to the right of the grand staircase at the main entrance.

Food & Beverage

Complimentary water, coffee, and tea are available before most Spivey Hall Series performances.
Complimentary water is available during intermission at Spivey Hall Series performances.
Snack machines are located in the Music Education Building adjacent to Spivey Hall.
Food and beverages are not permitted inside the performance hall.

Restrooms

Restrooms are located on the lower level (performance hall and lobby level) of Spivey Hall.
All public restrooms are wheelchair accessible.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in Spivey Hall or on the campus of Clayton State University.

Additional Information

The performance hall is maintained at a consistent temperature to help protect the instruments. Some patrons find a light sweater or jacket helpful.
Spivey Hall Series concerts typically run approximately 90–120 minutes, including intermission.
